ANDHealth Takes Delegation Of >25 To HLTH Conference

A delegation of more than 25 executives representing some of Australia’s leading digital health companies will this week attend HLTH – the world’s fastest growing conference dedicated to health innovation and disruption.

The Australian delegation – led by national accelerator and commercialisation company, ANDHealth – includes executives from Macquarie Bank, CSIRO, St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne), MTPConnect, Presagen, Life Whisperer, Alcidion, Eastern Health, Tali Health, HealthShare Digital, HealthMatch, Sophus Nutrition, and ScalaMed.

ANDHealth is Australia’s only organisation dedicated to supporting digital health companies to commercialise – turning innovative health and technology ideas into viable, high-growth businesses.

The HLTH conference, being held in Las Vegas from 27 to 30 October, offers companies access to key investor streams, including exposure to leading US digital health investors; large corporates, including US insurance organisations; and global pharmaceutical companies. It opens the door to global collaborations in the digital health market, which is expected to exceed US$200 billion next year.

“This is the first time an Australian delegation is involved in HLTH, which is increasingly being recognised across the industry as one of the most important events each year,” ANDHealth CEO, Bronwyn Le Grice, said. “The HLTH conference provides unprecedented opportunity for Australia’s digital health companies. It brings together key stakeholders from around the world, and is a gateway for Australian digital health companies wishing to enter the US market.”

South Australian digital health company, Presagen, has been selected from over 500 start-ups attending the conference to pitch to leading US executives as part of the conference’s pitch competition. The competition features 15 innovative early-stage companies with pioneering technologies, products, and business solutions.

“Australian digital health companies are highly competitive when given access to global markets and key networks,” Ms Le Grice said. “No other delegation has offered Australia’s emerging, high potential digital health companies this level of facilitated access to key investor and customer groups in global markets.”

Under a unique non-profit, industry-led model, ANDHealth provides expert advice, ongoing support, and tailored programs proven to accelerate the scale-up of clinical-grade digital health businesses.

“Digital health is one of the largest and fastest growing sectors attracting investment globally, and Australian businesses are developing new and exciting products which have great potential to increase quality of healthcare, improve efficiency in and access to healthcare, reduce costs, and create a truly patient-centric healthcare system,” Ms Le Grice said.
