Anand Iyer
Chief Strategy Officer, WellDoc

Anand is a respected global digital health leader—most known for his insights on and experience with technology, strategy, and regulatory policy. Anand has been instrumental in Welldoc’s success and the development of BlueStar®, the first FDA-cleared mobile prescription therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes. Since joining Welldoc in 2008, he has held core leadership positions that included Chief Data Science Officer, President and Chief Operations Officer. In 2013, Anand was named “Maryland Healthcare Innovator of the Year” in the field of mobile health.

Andrew Murphy

Andrew founded Irish digital health company Slainte Healthcare, first disrupting the Irish healthcare revenue cycle market with Claimsure (acq 2015 by Clanwilliam Group), and separately disrupting the medical records market with Vitro, with significant international clients, including across Australia.

Since leaving the company he founded in 2016, Andrew has been heavily involved in Digital Health Data and Advisory company HealthXL, and has also invested in and worked with  a number of Irish digital health companies including Webdoctor, patientMpower and MedModus to rapidly scale and internationalise. As a partner in Erisbeg, Andrew leads P/E investments into a range of healthcare and technology focussed companies as well as being the co-founder and Exec Chairman of rapidly growing EdTech SaaS company, Robotify.

Aenor Sawyer
Director UC Space Health Program; Director UCSF Skeletal Health Service; Director, Center for Advanced 3D+ Technologies; Associate Professor, Dept Orthopaedic Surgery, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)

Dr Aenor Sawyer is the Director of the University of California Space Health Program and previously served as the Chief Health Innovation Officer for the Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH), a NASA-funded program.  She has more than two decades of experience in development and evaluation of health technologies, telemedicine and remote medical management. She serves as an Advisor to frontline innovation initiatives at UCSF and with external foundations and industry partners.

She is a member of the UCSF IT Governance Committee, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the UCSF Center for Advanced 3D+ Technologies, Co-Founder of the Center for Digital Health Innovation, a UCSF HEALTH HUB board member, and Advisor to UCSF Innovation Ventures Philanthropy Fund (InVent Fund).   External roles also include External Advisory Board Member of the Scripps Translational Sciences Institute, MCRI Health Technology Advisory Board, NODE Health Board Member, and prior Associate Editor of Nature’s Digital Medicine Journal. She is also an Advisor to ANDHealth, Center for Advancing Innovation, and IGNITE Social Impact.

Bill Lucia
Executive Partner, Consonance Capital and HEP fund (former Chairman and CEO of HMS, acquired by Gainwell 2021 US$3.4B)

Bill Lucia is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of HMS, a leading healthcare analytics and technology company. He served as CEO from 2009 to 2021 and was named Chairman of the Board of Directors in July 2015. HMS was acquired by Gainwell Technologies, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, in April 2021. Under Bill’s leadership, HMS grew to $673 million in revenue, serving 500 healthcare payers and 50 government agencies in 40-plus states and 31 of the 38 private health insurers in Australia.

Drew Schiller
CEO & Co-Founder, Validic

Drew is co-founder and CEO at Validic, the leading digital health platform for personal health data. Drew is Board Chair of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Health Division and a member of the CTA Executive Board. He also contributes to advancing the industry through CTA policy efforts and involvement with the CTA Health Standards Subdivision.Drew also serves on the Boards for the eHealth Initiative (eHI) and the North Carolina Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED). Drew served as a Team Member for the Clinical Trials Transformation Institute (CTTI) project Advancing the Use of Mobile Technologies for Data Capture & Improved Clinical Trials. He previously served on the Federal Advisory Committee joint HITPC/HITSC API Task Force on Meaningful Use 3.

Kate Merton, PhD MBA

Dr Kate Merton has over 15 years of experience working across the healthcare industry, starting in R&D before moving onto roles in Marketing, Business Development, External Alliances, Medical Affairs, Health Outcomes and most recently Disruptive Innovation. During her career Kate has been part of teams that have discovered new drugs and worked to develop and gain approval for blockbuster diabetes products. Kate is passionate about being part of the future of health care where science intersects with the rapid advancements in health care technology.

“I have participated in and supported various ANDHealth events over the last 12 months and enjoy working with entrepreneurs who participate in and are part of the programs. Based upon my experience leading global incubators, advising the development of digital health products and delivering health solutions to market, I believe I have the requisite experience to participate on the IIAC. 2018 Rock Health Digital Health Evangelist of the Year, Lisa Suennen, has spent more than 30 years in healthcare as entrepreneur, advisor and venture capitalist.  Today she is Leader of Manatt Phelps & Phillips Digital and Technology Practice, as well as Managing Partner of the Manatt Venture Fund.

Lisa spent the last 23 years as a venture investor, most recently leading the GE Ventures healthcare fund; previously she founded the American Heart Association Cardeation Venture Fund and, before that, spent 15 years as a partner with healthcare fund Psilos Group.
