Cybersecurity continues to grow as one of the key challenges for digital and digitally enabled medical technology companies.  

Connectivity has increased the vulnerability of SMEs to cybersecurity breaches, which is a growing concern for businesses of any size. This interactive workshop will provide an opportunity to hear from cybersecurity experts regarding cyber risk mitigation strategies and understand key aspects of best practices in cybersecurity governance.

After hearing an overview about the Australian cybersecurity landscape, attendees will learn about the fundamentals of cybersecurity, standards and considerations most applicable for an SME in the Australian health sector. During the breakout sessions, facilitated groups will have the opportunity to discuss individual concerns and question with our cybersecurity experts.

The workshop will finish with a panel session talking through lessons learnt from real-world cybersecurity incidents, Medibank and Optus, recent high profile examples of elaborate global cyber-attacks.
